One of Europe’s largest and most beautiful wine festivals, set at the World Heritage Site Buda Royal Palace.
Since 2022, Hungary Japan Wine Association, which is responsible for promoting the festival in Asia, will plan and implement a special attendant service at the Buda Royal Palace.
Since 2023, we will respond to requests from Japanese wine lovers and arrange and produce VIP tours of local wineries to coincide with the event period.

A trip to be immersed in the charm of Budapest, a world heritage city in central Europe that is so beautiful that it is also known as the “Pearl of the Danube.”
The local tour in Hungary, which will be held from September 12th to September 15th this year in conjunction with the Budapest Wine Festival, has been named the Pearl Wine Tour.
Enjoy exquisite wine tasting to your heart’s content while admiring stunning views of the Danube River and the beautiful Castle, a World Heritage Site.
The Budapest Wine Festival is one of Europe’s largest wine events, held every year for four days in early September at the world heritage site of the Buda Royal Palace. This year, 2024, it will be held from September 12th (Thursday) to September 15th (Sunday).
As part of its public relations activities, the Hungary Japan Wine Association will be providing a special attendance service starting in 2022, serving as the Asian public relations point for the wine festival event, which normally brings together more than 70,000 wine lovers to the Buda Royal Palace.
In order to attract more true wine lovers from Japan, we are offering VIP opportunities that are not available to regular visitors, and that make full use of us and Hungarian wine producer network to provide VIPs with valuable encounters and experiential value. It is provided under the service name ATTEND.
For added peace of mind, you will be accompanied by a Hungarian wine specialist coordinator/interpreter and a English guide.

The highlight of the second half of this tour is the special one-night event “BJS Nefertari Sumiko Presents Japanese Belly Dance x KIMONO x Hungarian Wine Marriage” held in Budapest with the cooperation of wine companies that are members of the Hungarian Wine Association and partner wineries. From April onwards, each dinner organizer will individually provide information on round-trip air tickets between Japan and Hungary in conjunction with this tour, as well as recommended hotels during your stay in Budapest, Hungary.

Thursday, September 12, 2024 is the first day of the Budapest Wine Festival. The venue time for the first day has not been announced yet, so we are currently posting the same meeting time as the attendance service we held last year. Friday, September 13, 2024, Program C is a day trip to Lake Balaton’s two major wineries.
Mr. Figura Mihalyi was awarded the Winemaker of the Year award by the Hungarian Wine Academy.
Mr. Kovács Tamáš of St. Donato Winery was awarded the Junibor title given to the top wine makers of the young generation, and was also selected as one of the top 50 winemakers of Borasoc Borasa.
At Csopak’s St. Donat Winery, you can enjoy the company’s finest wines as well as full-course lunches that are so popular that even Hollywood stars come to visit.
As this is a one-day tour, the meeting and disbanding point will be at Clark Adam ter in Budapest.
