彼女は大学卒業後、日本市場にGrand Vinやロマネ・コンティなど世界トップクラスのフランスワインを普及させたことで知られるインポーターの名門、中島董商店でフランスワインのインポーターとしてのキャリアを積み、その後、博報堂グループの大手広告会社大広のクリエイティブ局にコピーライター、プランナーとして転職。

ハンガリーワイン協会の会長としてハンガリーの格付け上位かつ上質なワイン生産者、ワインメーカーオブザイヤー受賞ワイナリーと日本のワインインポーターをつなぐハンガリーと日本のワイン業界の架け橋となる活動を続け、日本では日本ソムリエ協会の教本ハンガリー項の執筆者を毎年務め、日本人としてハンガリーワイン教育の第一人者として知られています。

We hold special private tasting lessons at a private salon located in a wonderful area, within about a five-minute walk from the World Heritage site, Buda Castle.

The wine instructor at this salon, Hideko Papp, built her career as a French wine importer at Nakajima Trading Company, a prestigious importer known for introducing world-class French wines such as Grand Vin and Romanée-Conti to the Japanese market after graduating from university.

She later transitioned to the creative division of a major advertising agency as a copywriter and planner.

By combining her experience as an importer with her advertising expertise, she implemented a unique high-brand strategy that enhanced the quality of PR for Hungarian wines.

As president of the Hungarian Wine Association, she continues to act as a bridge between Hungary and Japan’s wine industries, connecting top-tier Hungarian wine producers and wineries awarded Wine Maker of the Year with Japanese wine importers.

In Japan, she writes the Hungary section for the Japanese Sommelier Association’s textbooks each year, and is recognized as the leading authority on Hungarian wine education in Japan.
