A private salon about a 3-minute walk to Buda Castle, located in the World Heritage area.
HJW VIP Salon is located in the best location, just about a 3-minute walk from the UNESCO World Heritage site Buda Castle, and is a private, adult hideaway salon known only to selected wine enthusiasts.

The owner of this private salon is Hideko Papp, who is also the chairwoman of the Hungarian Wine Association.
Papp Hideko, the owner of this salon and the main instructor of the tasting lessons, holds a WSET Higher Certificate and is currently a candidate in the Diploma course.

Hungary-based Budapest resident and Hungarian wine expert: Founder and president of the Hungarian Wine Association in Hungary, responsible for writing and supervising the Hungarian section of the “Sommelier Textbook” published by the Japan Sommelier Association (J.S.A.) from the 2021 to 2026 editions.
Media and Education: Operates online media “FinoMagazin” and wine site “FinesseWinepia,” promoting the appeal of Hungarian wine. Also conducts courses and seminars as a Hungarian wine instructor. Known as a leading figure in promoting Hungarian wine in Japan, with connections to Hungarian government officials and top local winemakers. After graduating from university, joined the French wine importer Nakajima Co., Ltd., involved in the import and sale of French, Italian, and Australian wines, and later won a special award at the web business start-up contest hosted by J-Wave. Subsequently, moved to major advertising agency Daiko, assigned to the Creative Department, working as a copywriter, planner, and director. Later became independent, working as a freelance creator in Tokyo before moving to Hungary.
Creative Activities: Also works as a copywriter and web designer, engaging in a wide range of creative tasks including advertising production, PR, and web direction.

Hideko Papp has also been visiting wineries across Hungary since 2017, and as of 2026, she has visited more than 300 wineries throughout the country.

The woman in the photo is Ms. Stephanie of Tokaji Mád ‘Kikelet Tokaji,’ who became the first female champion winemaker at the Borsosok Borosa, an award that determines the champion wine producer in Hungary, which has a long history in the country.
Until now, Hideko Papp has been hosting private wine gatherings with a friend who owns a winery, inviting only close wine enthusiasts. Starting January 2026, tasting lessons will be organized in this private salon.
